2c Black on Green, cut to shape with red Boyd's City Express Post" oval handstamp with matching "Paid JTB." This appears to have originated in London on March 17, 1847, from "Capt. Morris" of "Baring Bros & Co." It must have been carried outside the mails to New York. It was given to Boyd's for delivery on May 3 and answered on May 11.
