San Francisco' purple straightline forwarding cachet. Additional handstamps include 'RETURNED TO WRITER,' 'COLLECT 1 CENT,' and 'Dead Letter Office JAN 24 1906, Received in Bad Condition at Foreign Branch' in red.

Various transit markings, including 'ENTLASTET' (Released) marking from Germany dated 'S.W. 19 5 1.06' and 'T' in a circle with '25 Centimes' due marking. Addressed to Philip Trübner and annotated with blue pencil 'Return to Sender,' showing the journey of an undelivered international cover through multiple postal handling stages
