Horizontal strip of three, large margins to ample at top, clear strikes of "Floyd's Penny Post" circular sunburst handstamp, the soft paper has two tiny thin speck and a small tear at lower left, still Extremely Fine
With a PF Cert which states, "HORIZONTAL STRIP OF THREE, FLOYD'S PENNY POST "SUNBURST" CANCELS. AND WE ARE OF THE OPINION THAT It Is Genuine, The Left Stamp With A Small Scissors Cut At Bottom Left AND THE RIGHT STAMP WITH A SMALL TONED SPOT IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT MARGIN."

The 68L3 green stamps are recorded to only be used in October and November 1862. They appear to be the last printing, probably by Kimball & Waterman, before the post was closed. There are only three recorded covers, six or seven used stamps off cover, and three or four unused stamps. Faults and tear on right.

1c Black on Red, Die Cut, uncancelled, used with 2c Red Brown, tied by "Atlantic City N.J. Jun. 30, 1887 4 PM" duplex datestamp and cancel on locally-addressed cover, central vertical file fold, otherwise Fine, very rare genuine usage.
This cover, was postmarked on the last day of operation for Hackney & Bolte’s Penny Post, June 30, 1887, The following day, July 1, 1887, the federal post office introduced free mail delivery, ending the short but impactful era of private postal innovation in Atlantic City.

Light strike of red Hanford's Pony Express oval handstamp on folded Valentine with inside containing multicolored comic scene with poem and cupid riding a donkey, expertly silked so cannot be opened, some edgewear, pen "1840" at top left is not contemporary, still Very Fine and scarce use.
